From Washington Post:

After three seasons in Washington, Mike Knuble’s time as a Capital has come to an end.

Knuble said in a phone interview Wednesday that he has been informed by General Manager George McPhee that the Capitals will not re-sign him for the 2012-13 season. The veteran winger is set to become an unrestricted free agent on July 1.

From The Score:

Knuble would be interesting, even at 40 years of age, just to add into the bottom six mix. He would definitely add a little extra scoring to our 3rd/4th lines. I am weary of going that route, however, as I'd much rather have a faceoff specialist/bruiser instead. I'm just saying, for depth's sake, I would not complain.

From Denver Post:

Damnit... I was hoping the Avs would be stupid and let him walk. Oh well, scratch of a plan B candidate for the Wings.

Reports of TBL, Oilers, Leafs interested in Luongo.

I thought Stevie said he wasn't interested in Bobby Lou? I can see him going to Toronto, though. The article's a bit older, so maybe something's changed.

"I think everybody’s trying to find somebody that’s that elite guy... My philosophy, I’m trying to find that Hall of Famer goaltender. Good luck trying to do that. It takes time. We’ll find that through the draft, through unrestricted free agency. That guy isn’t there at this time."

Yeah I think the TBL and Oiler part was some guy talking out of his ass. Toronto, though, is a name I've heard thrown around quite a bit for Lou.

From Winnipeg Free Press:

He's a cornerstone to their franchise, but the Winnipeg Jets might have some competition in their attempts to lock up goaltender Ondrej Pavelec with a new deal.

Reported

Hockey Night in Canada's Elliotte Friedman reported Saturday night that Pavelec -- a restricted free agent come July 1 -- may be in contract talks with a team in the Kontinental Hockey League, hinting at a potential "one-year, big-money offer."

More Nash trade talks. Looks like its leaning towards NYR....

Dustin Leed via twitter: From separate sources, they said that the Rangers will end up trading for Rick Nash.

Jim Matheson of the Edmonton Journal: The Rangers are doubtful to part with Chris Kreider in a Rick Nash deal, but they could dangle Artem Anisimov, Brandon Dubinsky, Derek Stepan, Michael Del Zotto and a 1st round pick.

Sounds like a pretty good deal for CBJ..

"Hopefully, I'll find an NHL team," the Russian veteran told the paper. "The preference is always going to be a team I've played on because you know the environment.

"And I'd definitely like to come back to Montreal. They're all about the young guys, but I can help in all different ways. And I can still play. I have a lot of energy."

Count Jaromir Jagr among the names that will be available on the open market on July 1.

TSN Hockey Insider Darren Dreger reported via Twitter on Monday that while the 40-year-old winger enjoyed his stint with the Phildelphia Flyers last season, he plans on testing free agency.

J. Staal, Douglas Murray, and Rick Nash all on the market, and teams are taking offers.

Harding in negotiations with Minny, expected to sign there.

PK Subban included in deal to get Oiler's first overall, but doubt EDM will do it.
