100+ mph doesn't mean much when it he has to pull his backswing all the way to the UP to fire it off, giving defenders plenty of time to get in his shooting lane. Better to teach him how to speed up his mechanics & give up a some on the mph to get the puck on net before there are bodies in the way.
This applies to a guy standing in front of the net as well. It seems like it takes one guy out of the play for us.
Their pk players match up one-on-one, the rest of our guys rip shots from the perimeter, and the shots get blocked before they get anywhere.
We need more movement, more guys cycling down low, to break the opposing teams coverage.
