You are damn right...if that happens the I will seriously question Holland's thought process...the problem is, he cannot sit still and watch his rivals get younger and better and just believe that either the UFA's will come running because "It's Detroit" or that his undrafted Euro's that he is always interested in are going to put Detroit back on top...So far...same old off season to start... Let's make a deal tomorrow!

I agree with you pretty much spot on with most of your thoughts and ideas. He needs to do something. he needs to take a risk from time to time.

Detroit is not the only team gunning for Parise or Suter or Ryan or any of these other players. Every team thinks they can land them. I have a feeling we will be picking up crumbs after some dark horse comes and overpays for one of the guys we've targeted. I don't want that but I am not feeling the heat.

Well to sum it up, it was fun to watch these kids realize a dream. Awesome for the parents to see all there sacrifices for 17/18 years pay off...Congrats to them all!

They can trade for his rights all they want, he already said he doesn't want to play in the East. I mentioned in another post, the Pens have 7 free agents next year, one of which is Crosby, freeing up a couple million in cap space doesn't give them the ability to go on a spending spree.
