Oilers' GM Steve Tambellini is NOT going to trade down. He has said that himself. And Ryan Murray's brother tweeted something about making trips to Alberta in the near future.where you hear that?? heard they might take griffith reinhart , wouldnt be suprised if they traded the pick to drop down a few spots

honestly, if i was the oilers gm, i'd take Ryan Murray in a heartbeat. as i said earlier, i strongly believe that Murray and Forsberg will end up being the gems of this draft. Reinhart, Dumba and Galynchuk <----spelling? should also be top quality players.
The best player in the draft though will undoubtedly end up in the Wild's system
Wings need some Ryan Pulock in the 1st round, a goal scorer in the 2nd round and rounds 3-7 all guys 6'4 or bigger. Please sign Dekeyser to play with Smith. <--Dekeyser signed, Paired next year. Mark your calendars.

I'll be surprised if Yakupov goes any further than 3rd. I just can't see trades not being made immediately if he doesn't go 1st. Gonna be a messy night boys.

I love the NHL draft, get to see that first overall pick, players who get picked considerably higher/lower then expected, the block buster trades! Love it! Next comes free agency! Great time of the year (besides the actual season).
The draft is, meh, but all the unexpected trades is what I like. Well, minus the part when the sniveling little weasle gets up there to announce them. Wonder if anyone trades for Parise or Suter's rights tonight?

The Wild comment was a jab at another poster who swears up and down the Wild have the best prospect pool bar none.

I have not followed this draft class much, but all I ever heard about it was Yakupov this Yakupov that. This thread barely even mentions his name.

Tootoo does NOT belong on this team. He is classless and I would rather see the Wings be bad than classless. I feel the same way about Bertuzzi as well, but he at least CAN make the team better. With Tootoo the team becomes worse and in danger of being classless. Would you have liked Claude on the team? Or Roy? No. So why would you be okay with that POS.

Without having a 1st rounder this year, I am hoping for a big trade tonight from Kenny! Either a "Rights" trade for Parise or a trade for Bobby Ryan and Schultz's rights...I am giving up any combo of Franzen, Emmerton, Mursak, Kindl, pick(s), prospect....for Ryan or Parise's right's or even for a couple of other draft picks too!
