The media is jumping on the Pens bandwagon once again. I still believe Parise and Suter will be Red Wings on July 1st. Nothing is guaranteed of course. However, the Pens have to trade Martin first. Kudos to Shero for finding a sucker er I mean partner for Michalek. Even if he does have the Cap space, why would Parise and Suter go to the Pens over the Wings? I recall the Pens being eliminated in the 1st round just like the Wings were.

I don't think we can get both Parise and Suter here. I think Suter will be a lock to sign in Detroit. Plus, the prospect of playing with Crosby and Malkin may be more appealing than playing here. Who knows.

Hudler and Val's agents must be salivating. Both out performed him and both don't play as many minutes. Terrible deal. I thought the point of these long contracts were to lower the cap hit. I'm assuming a five year deal would have netted him an 8mil cap hit? That's crazy! I'd rather have Staal than Hudler, but Filppula over Staal. I love Filppula but none of the three players are 6mil players.
