SoupSnake 25 Report post Posted June 23, 2012 (edited) Is it just me or does he look like he skates bent over all the time? Really weird skating style. Edited June 23, 2012 by SoupSnake
VM1138 1,921 Report post Posted June 23, 2012 That's the first thing I noticed, Soup Snake. And damn, what is with all the concussed draftees the past few years? Something has got to be done about this.

Tim.D 176 Report post Posted June 23, 2012 Is it just me or does he look like he skates bent over all the time? Really weird skating style. Skating is his most glaring weakness according to scouts.
SoupSnake 25 Report post Posted June 23, 2012 Skating is his most glaring weakness according to scouts. Yeah I saw that but I didn't imagine that it would mean he loses half of his height while skating haha.

metalkorn 45 Report post Posted June 23, 2012 (edited) The mooseheads are my local team and Martin Frk is a great pick for 49. He has had injury problems but he is a point producer. I hope he gets ot stay in the Q for anothe ryear or so so I can still watch him play but he will be another great late pick for the wings mark my words. Now if only we can find a way to get Zach Fucale or Nathan Mackinnon in next years draft from the mooseheads I'll be laughing. Nev 1,085 Report post Posted June 23, 2012 Great shot, but poor skater and bad defensively? Sounds like a young Brett Hull 1 puckloo39 reacted to this
VM1138 1,921 Report post Posted June 23, 2012 I noticed his skating didn't look too great in those highlight videos. Does anyone know how to pronounce his name? Is it Frik or Ferk?
PavelValerievichDatsyuk 1,935 Report post Posted June 23, 2012 91...It'd be weird seeing another wing wear 91.
Konnan511 1,736 Report post Posted June 23, 2012 Very nice pick. A top10 player before his concussion. Very Jurco/Tvrdon like pick. Loads of skill.
under_par_00 45 Report post Posted June 23, 2012 More like Ferk, but roll the r. Good pick, for 49th. Hopefully he can stay healthy.
akustyk 84 Report post Posted June 23, 2012 it's Czech name, so more like "F(y)rk" with very short "y". looks like decent pick to me to add depth scoring to the system.
St. Michael (the Red Wing) 422 Report post Posted June 23, 2012 Very weird if he ever ends up in the Winged Wheel wearing 91 indeed. I still have my Fedorov in jersey in my closet begging to be worn all the time
dragonballgtz 273 Report post Posted June 23, 2012 That's the first thing I noticed, Soup Snake. And damn, what is with all the concussed draftees the past few years? Something has got to be done about this. Looking at the way he skates I'm not surprised at all that he had a concussion. At the start of the video watching him skate with his head down I immediately thought this guy will get killed in a NHL game. Dude is going to be asking for it if he continues to skate with his head down and hunched over like that. 1 Uncle Danny reacted to this
Z Winged Dangler 2,082 Report post Posted June 23, 2012 Yes!!! The guy I wanted to get the Wings got, simply awesome. i knew i saw someone ask for him in the draft discussion somewhere. good call dude. he has some nice puck skills. can play the point on the power play too and has a pretty good clapper. i like this pick. and he's even right handed! and all of the picks other than the goalie are exactly 6 feet tall and can still grow so we can't even complain that they're little punks that Kenny's drafting. Guest Heaten Report post Posted June 23, 2012 From the reports I read, this kid was predicted to go 15-20. Needs to work on his skating. We have a guy named Pulkkinen that has below-average skating abilities.
Jaymister 71 Report post Posted June 23, 2012 May be a steal, considering he probably would have gone in the 1st round if not for the injury.
