From the reports I read, this kid was predicted to go 15-20. Needs to work on his skating. We have a guy named Pulkkinen that has below-average skating abilities.

May be a steal, considering he probably would have gone in the 1st round if not for the injury.

Frk is a Russian word that when translated actually means "low skater"

I mean how ironic, amiright?

OK I just made it up

He must be a FRK'ing badass!

BTW, wonder if the Wings would give him #91 when he gets to Detroit one day? That would be a slap to Fedorov...I bet Frk would ask Sergei if he minded or not....

And it wasn't a slap to the Wing organization when Sergei left for Anaheim the way he did? He could have gone down of one of the greatest Red Wings of all time & had his number put in the rafters, but it was his choice not to. There are very few numbers not in rotation for the Wings & #91 doesn't deserve to be one of them imo.

Anyway, that's years down the road for Frk depending on whether he ever makes the big club. I would hope the debate on wearing #91 hits a little closer than that when Parise signs & wants to wear it.

hmmm...another young player that grew up idolizing Red Wings and thinks Datsyuk is the best player in the NHL. This must really piss off Crosby that no one thinks Prince Sid is the best.

Wings need some Ryan Pulock in the 1st round, a goal scorer in the 2nd round and rounds 3-7 all guys 6'4 or bigger.  Please sign Dekeyser to play with Smith.  <--Dekeyser signed, Paired next year.  Mark your calendars.

Tootoo needs a partner in crime that plays like him on the other side of Helm.  Oh hey, we have Mitchell Callahan.  Problem solved.

Cleary.... :pokey:

They did the same with Tatar and it wasn't much of fast tracking.

From what I've seen he'll still stay one more year in juniors given his age & the 3 year contract starts the 2013-2014 season.
