in regards to parise....
Adrian Dater via twitter: Dater thinks the Wings will go $100 million.
12-13 years, 100 million I think is fair for him considering his age and consistency. While I'm not a big fan of long term, stretched out contracts, in his case I think it's necessary. Other, more streaky players on the other hand......(*cough* *cough* FRANZEN *cough*cough*)

I don't want to get my hopes up too much, but at the same time I'm very confident that we'll be getting both of these great players today. I'm confident enough to where I have a buddy ready to make me their jerseys as soon as they are signed and will have them by tomorrow night. I'll be bummed for a day or two if we don't get both, but obviously not putting any blame towards the Wings brass.

New e-book: The Spanish-American War: A Brief History. Relatively short, introductory read for casual history buffs and people who want to learn more about a forgotten war that changed America. Available at BN.com, Smashwords, Kobo, and Diesel E-Books right now. Same link as above.

The first step is done I hope, they blow both away with a great presentation and breaking the bank if needed but I refuse to get my hopes up, till the contracts are signed. Nonetheless these are good news if ture.

Thank you so much perfect human being #5

That would be awesome. Best person to send really. Only problem is he technically doesn't work for the organisation so he probably can't be involved in influencing a decision one way or another. Heck if I saw him coming up my drive though as a FA, I'd sign the darn contract before he even made it to the door
Neither does Gretzky for the Oilers but he called Schultz for them. Sign Howe to a one day contract every year, July 1st.
I wish Nick would have went with Chelios and Illitch. No one would respect the opinions of Lidstrom more than a guy like Suter. Nick certainly doesn't owe us anything but it would have been a great farewell gesture.
Another person we should hire as our ambassador.

I wonder how much of an impact Chelios's relationship with Gary will be.
Won't matter, Chelios is going to ride up there on a horse in full cowboy gear all City Slickers style with Ilitch riding shotgun like good ol' Curly. They'll just lasso Suter and take him back to Red Bird II.
One thing = winning? So maybe Billy Crystal is Suter?
This is going to be a long day.... I'm already shot.

Wouldn't it be great if Kenny showed up like an absolute pimp today with a briefcase full of bearer bonds? "Here's your $12m Zach...You have 10 minutes to give me a decision"
Money of the Board-2013 Playoff Edition: Current $31 ($5 per series win {1}, $5 per series sweep, $5 per Kronwalling {2}, $2 per Jimmy shutout or fight, $2 per Tootoo goal or fight, $2 per Mule or Brunner goal {8})
