The man is in full-on Prince Fielder mode. We've got more cap space available to sign Parise and Suter than anyone else does. Illitch is going to get them. He wants one more championship. He wants it right now. He doesn't care if he has to overpay. He's going to top any offer any other team is going to make. It might not be what's best for us in the long run necessarily, but it is what's going to happen.

Still 3.5 mil to mess around with..

Not sure. I did hear suter received an offer over 100 million dollars. Wonder if it was the wings.
