Why would he waste the end of his career on team that wont get a sniff of the playoffs in the next two years?!

Good point. It's a good signing for Columbus. Solid D-man at a decent price, but for Aucoin?Why would he waste the end of his career on team that wont get a sniff of the playoffs in the next two years?!
Maybe his options were limited and compared to Phoenix he at least knew the franchise would be there next season?

I'm pretty sure if he had waited he could have caught on with a better team. Possibly would have manade less money but at least would have had a chance to go out on top.
