Honestly :shocking:? I'd trade Franzen and something else for Ryan, but two legit top-six forwards and a 1st for Bobby Ryan? Just because he is younger and a bit better goal-scorer than Mule?

Ryan > Franzen, Ryan > Filppula (for now at least), but Ryan is not worth both and a first. Not by a long shot...

Parise would also be in the mix, in this hypothetical scenario.

So, essentially - Subtract Flip & Franzen, Add Parise & Ryan.

I'm down with that.

Don't Toews me, bro!

I believe they did submit one for both anyway IIRC.

Some on Twitter were saying they were talking but didn't submit an offer.

Hardly see that happening, I still think ZP will be a Penguin in the next weeks. Playing alongside Crosby and making a good amount of money is just something no one else can offer.

Detroits offer to Suter was rumored to be 90 million over 12 years. Holy s***!

IMO it's between Detroit - Nashville I highly doubt he would want to go Minnesota ... and I don't think Pittsburgh offered the same price that the Wings did since they are pursuing Parise to come in. I think he needs to decide if he wants good $$$ and a good team to play with or take a little discount and be part of the Nashville core!

12 years/90 million; not a bad deal IMO.

I can't remember how it all worked out, but on the NHL network they were saying how the first year of his contract he could make $26 million. $12 mill salary, $12 mill signing bonus, then another $2 thrown in for something.

How does eklund still even have a voice in hockey? the guy is a total joke.

When there's guys like McKenzie and Dreger out there, I don't know why anyone would give Eklund a second thought, other than a need for drama or something.

I think it was Mckenzie saying he could get 14mil for the first two years of the contract with 12mil signing bonus coming out to 26mil for the first year. I think that was on NHL.com's website under suter news on a video.

Franzen and Hudler for Ryan? Do you think Ducks would take that?

Oh damn, a bit too late for that ... if only we thought of this earlier.

I still think we are in the Ryan Suter "Sweepstakes" I really think he is waiting until after Parise announces. Why aren't you seeing Kenny going after any D-man? I think we will be his ultimate destination.

I don't get why his decision is based on when ZP signs somewhere unless ZP actually goes to Minn then is Suter going to Minn as well? Is Suter trying to follow ZP?
