Great guy, sorry that he is going. I hope he finds a team willing to use him.

If Joey Mac isn't involved in some sort of package trade (which I really doubt he would be).. Holland will trade him for a 7th or something small just to be nice to Joey. That's just how holland is. Would love to keep him as a #3 goalie though.

He did outstanding for us the previous season until he got injured. Unfortunately for him, inconsistent play and injuries will burden his trade. As much as I'd love for him to be backing up Howie still and saving the money, he is too much of a risk.

Any deal we make with CBJ will HAVE to involve Filppula.

Perfect third-string goalie - Wings will probably have to sign another goalie for GR as options would be slim if Howard and Gus are out with injuries.
Red Kelly #4 and Larry Aurie #6 belong in the rafters!!!

Flip is a free agent next year, so I'm not sure if his value is particularly high.

Think he did a good job when Howard was out (way better than Conklin..).. But I think its ok to send him on his way.

Any word on Jonas Hølos?

LOL who the hell is joey mac? put him on waivers he'll be lucky to find a taker

Hes a solid backup goalie, and also, oh, ya know, the guy who saved our ass MANY times last year when Conklin was sucking all over the place and couldn't stop a goal to save his life.

Do you even watch Red Wings hockey? lol

Cya later Joey!
Think for yourself. Question authority. Throughout human history as our species has faced the frightening, terrorizing fact that we do not know who we are or where we are going in this ocean of chance, it has been the authorities, the political, the religious, the educational authorities who attempted to comfort us by giving us order, rules, regulations, informing, forming in our minds their view of reality. To think for yourself you must question authority and learn how to put yourself in a state of vulnerable, open mindedness, chaotic, confused vulnerability to inform yourself.

He is just not an NHL calibre goalie and I doubt any team will trade anything for him. Can he be given to another team?

I was happy to see Conks sign here last year... but his play clearly withered with the way Babcock wanted to use (or not use) him. Sure MacDonald heroically outplayed Conklin when called upon. Doesn't mean much.

This really isn't suprising after signing Gustavsson yesterday. I know we were talking about getting a different goalie in here but I wasn't sure if would happen and I wasn't sure how much confidence I had in Joey Mac, He was pretty good for us last season but as someone on here said he's to inconsistent to STAY on an NHL Roster. I hope he finds success wherever he goes and maybe we can put him in a package deal to get someone for us on D or something like that.

I honestly thought he played really well for us last year. Hope he finds a good home somewhere.

If I am not mistaken, he signed a one-way deal this spring. That makes him pretty well untradeable, IMO, so he will be back in GR.

I think either A. He will be put on Waivers or B. Sent back to GR.
