Hope we will not sign him. He could be a good addition at 3.5 per year for 3 years. He will get 5.5/6years from some team though.
Sweet. This dude was brought here for one reason, to punch people in the head - every other thing that he can do, other Wings can do better. I like that we have a head-puncher. The league has other, better head-punchers, but this one is ours. Better than nothing. Good work, Kenny!

think nashville would trade weber's rights to detroit ??(only if we could get him signed to a longterm deal)

they just lost suter for nothing i think its save to say weber will leave as well and theyll end up losing there 2 star defensemen and end up with getting nothing for them

i know were in the sh*t! but dont go crazy and throw away 5 million for 5-6 years on a carle i would rather save the money for shea weber next season !

i would suggest maybe even giving up the 4 1st round picks and like going crazy and throwing a 110 million 12 yr deal to weber and high signing bonus but why risk it that nashville matches and we lose the chance at him next year possibly

point is i hope we dont go crazy and overpay carle as tough as our situation is

maybe take a chance on overpayed boumweester?? at least its only 2 years and he does play 20-25 minutes a game


That makes no sense. Why pay MORE for your number 2 choice, when you didn't even offer your number 1 choice that much money? I'd rather spend that money on short term deals on Doan, Semin, Carle, etc. Lets not jump off the cliff here...

point is carle wont sign shorterm 5-6 yrs minimum

bouwmeester would only be a 2 year deal thats why i suggested it

I didn't want Parise nearly so much as Suter, but f*** if this doesn't hurt. I don't want Coliaciavo (or whatever his name is) but or blue line looks like s***. I'd rather have the CBJ blue line at this point.

We needed Suter. With the options out there now, Holland has to find a trade partner. Yandle? I've trade Iron Hook and Tatar plus picks for Webber, through in Franzen. This blue line is atrocious and none of the FAs will help.

only an idiot would offer Carle a 5 year/30 mil deal. I mean, if he had a couple really good seasons with the wings and improved his point totals, then he could command a 6-7 mil/year type deal.

I could see Ken Holland landing him for 3 yr/15 mil

Wings have prospects and some young guys to trade. I say it's time to make some deals.

There's no 1st line defender available in free-agency. The one guy we wanted (Suter) is gone.

Don't sign a second level guy to a long-term deal, just because you have money ... that limits what you can do in the future.

They lost the only guy they really needed (Suter) ... can't panic now. Sign Quincey and get a veteran on short deal for the 3rd pairing.

Just have to wait for the next great free agent ... or trade.
