How random. It's so clear he came back to the NHL and just signed with whatever team would pay him the most.

I think this is simply a way for Dallas to sell tickets. No one's going to their games anymore.

This opens the door for Ryan, Nash or Parise to end up in Philly.....not good.

I wonder how much time he needed to think about it.

Man, Jagr has just been a poster child for putting money above all else, hasn't he?

This opens the door for Ryan, Nash or Parise to end up in Philly.....not good.

I don't get what you mean. Jagr was a UFA, he wasn't in Philly's plans anyway so how does this change the situation?

If I was his age, and someone offered me big bucks, I'd sign up too.

He's won it all. If he wins it again, that's great, but if not, he's playing the game he loves, getting paid well and seeing the world. Who could ask for more?

I hadn't heard that Philly had zero interest in signing him back. UFA doesn't mean that he has to go to another team...they could have only been in the running for one of the other players mentioned, now they have the space (both cap and roster) to land multiple "big fish"
