Three 3/4th line wingers and #4 d man for a blue chip defenceman...wow..where do you get this..Bert just re signed on a loyalty first basis..he loves it here and made that clear which is why they signed him. BamaWing 37 Report post Posted July 4, 2012 Bert wouldn't be traded and Semin possibly could sign a one year deal just to change some peoples thoughts about him before he makes his big paycheck. With that said id love that lineup. Id make one other signing move for 4th line center but good lineup nonetheless.

Flippula - Datsyuk - Nash (Scoring line, Nash is powerforward) Doan - Zetterberg - Franzen (Scoring line 2, Doan is powerforward) Bertuzzi - Samuelsson - Cleary (Big veteran line...can Sammy play center?) Tootoo - Helm - Abby (Fast gritty line) Yandle - White Kronwall - Quincey Ericsson - Smith Howard Monster Emmerton, Homer, Mursak, Kindl, Eaves and Miller....please god no. Guest Crymson Report post Posted July 4, 2012 (edited) If we can find some sort of dirty info to blackmail Phoenix's GM with (ideally something that would guarantee an extended stay in prison were it to be mentioned to the police), then perhaps we could get Yandle with that package. Short of that, it's not going to happen. Emmerton, Homer, Mursak, Kindl, Eaves and Miller....please god no. Sure, let's get rid of Eaves and Miller, who play ably on the PK, play with lots of energy, are capable of combining for 25+ goals on the third or fourth lines, and both come immensely cheap. How, exactly, is that a good idea? Edited July 4, 2012 by Crymson

joesuffP 1,746 Report post Posted July 4, 2012 I've been saying this for a long time but I would trade Flippula.... If that's what Pheonix wants for Yandle it's hurting our team by not making this trade.
Guest Crymson Report post Posted July 4, 2012 (edited) I've been saying this for a long time but I would trade Flippula.... If that's what Pheonix wants for Yandle it's hurting our team by not making this trade. Filppula's contract is up in 2013. He'll want a raise. Yandle is on an excellent contract, and he's the lynchpin of their defense at the moment. It will take substantially more than Filppula to get Yandle out of Phoenix. Franzen, Cleary, Kindl, Jurco, 1st and thats pushing it. Those forwards are older and i doubt Phx would part with Yandle for anything less than Fil+ A 25-goal scorer, whom many of you call totally lazy, and who is on a lifetime contract; a defenseman who had trouble breaking the Wings' third pairing over the past two seasons and who has shown no signs of improvement during that time; an older player who is coming off the worst season of his last five years with the Wings and who has only one year left on his contract; and an untested prospect. This, for a premiere defenseman on a very reasonable contract. You're essentially offering a middle-of-the-line scorer, a young prospect, and a couple of players whom you think are useless. Lol at that assessment. Phx may lose doan, Franzen is a valuable piece despite his age and his cap hit is very good. He scores 25 goals a season and would replace doan's production. Cleary is a heart and soul player that is usually good for 20+ goals and great intangibles. Kindl hasn't been given a proper shot at the nhl level yet. Jurco is extremely valuable and so is a 1st round pick (likely lower). The coyotes have plenty on defence with OEL and upcoming Gormley, Rundbland, Summers and already has a nice to 6. They need some forwards to put the puck in the net.
