Well, he's said he's going to make a hard push for Doan on the 9th. So that much we know.

I bet Holland panics and overpays Quincey. Lame...

He's an RFA, no chance...

All I have to say about Holland and our off-season:

Here in this thread

Here in this one as well

Here in this one too

and finally

Here

Holland is a damn good GM. period.

I recall someone quoting a credible source as saying that if he lost the Parise sweepstakes (or was it Suter? Or was it both? Don't remember), he'd push very hard for Doan.

not a huge Semin fan but with Datsyuk feeding him the puck his shot will be very useful

Doan won't come here. If he leaves Pheonix, it will be for a run at the cup. I'd say that's why he's waiting. To see who's the most appealing when the dust settles, as it has today.

Wings are too far off from a cup run to attract Doan.

If we get Yandle at some point then today was a blessing. Much more reasonable contract for a better defensemen that fits our needs better. I say do whatever it takes to get this guy we need him. Than next year get Weber and our D is seriously stacked.

Weber-Yandle
Kronwall-Ericsson
Smith-Quincey.........Damn!

Fact is, we need help in our top-4 and in our top-6. :bored: The former's obviously the priority, but, well, yeah.

Fully agree. Just saying, Kenny's apparently gonna make a good pitch.

If we can get another top 4, we will be okay, just stack our offense. Babcock took a worse Anaheim team to the finals.

You dream too small.

With just a few trades:

Weber - Suter

Chara - Yandle

Karlsson - Byfuglien .... damn straight!

I think Holland would give too good a pitch. I don't think Doan could say no to Holland... Just like Suter can't say no to Parise... or Parise's wife... or Parise's parents

sign Quincey, trade for either Nash or Ryan and sign one of Doan or Semin. Our D is not that bad as we picture it to be.

Kronwall-White
Ericsson-Quincey
Smith - Kindl

yes, guys need to step in. However, Nashville waited some years for Weber and Suter to become what they are now.

Having good offensive team never hurts, especially, if we can ice Dats, Zetter, Fil, Ryan (or Semin), Doan and Franzen as our top-6 with Bert-Helm-Cleary as our third line. At least we'll be excited during the regular season. Play-offs is a different story but then there is always a chance Gary steps in and decide on the champ irrespoective of how strong we are. Just like in 2009.
Sweet. This dude was brought here for one reason, to punch people in the head - every other thing that he can do, other Wings can do better. I like that we have a head-puncher. The league has other, better head-punchers, but this one is ours. Better than nothing. Good work, Kenny!

If I'm Holland I'd go for this trade:

Rick Nash & Fedor Tyutin for Filppula - Quincey's rights - Tatar / Pulki - 1st Round - 2nd round next year ... something like that lol

LA won the Cup with Willie Mitchell on D every night.

Detroit's d isn't that bad.

It just looks even worse when you subtract Lidstrom and Stuart.

Our forwards were the main problem defensively last year. I Think there's no way Holland doesn't pick up a D man though. I just hope he makes a big move

This is what I'm saying. We are finally expierencing youth injection in Kindl/Smith/Quicey and the fans seems so afraid about it. At least we ungraded goaltending a bit, adress offense now.

Is he officially on the block?
