Here is a list of the unsigned 2012 NHL Free Agents
Think for yourself. Question authority. Throughout human history as our species has faced the frightening, terrorizing fact that we do not know who we are or where we are going in this ocean of chance, it has been the authorities, the political, the religious, the educational authorities who attempted to comfort us by giving us order, rules, regulations, informing, forming in our minds their view of reality. To think for yourself you must question authority and learn how to put yourself in a state of vulnerable, open mindedness, chaotic, confused vulnerability to inform yourself.

I fully expected fans to be calling for Kenny's head if he didn't sign these guys. Surprisingly, it's much (much) less than I expected to see. I don't know what else people really expected Holland and company to do? The contract offers were competitive, he flew out to meet and talk and up'ed his offer when he had to. In the end, it was family that made the difference. Not Holland not offering enough, not "Detroit's diamond losing it's shine", it was family. What was Holland supposed to do about their desire to play in their home town and be around their family? Based on Suter's comments, it's quite apparent that the decision was pretty much made days ago, when both Suter and Parise have been phoning/texting back and forth with Heately and asking if they can win.

Wouldnt surprise me if Holland signs Holmstrom and Arnott. Not at all. Follow that up with bringing Chelios back, and our team is set. Good job, Kenny. You Suck.

If Sammy makes us bigger and stronger, im afraid. He is the biggest floater in the league. Absolute ZERO playoff value. Does anyone honestly believe the team, as it stands now, can get past the first round?

Gee, I thought Samuelsson did a good job driving the net on this first goal, and out muscled Hal Gill on that second one. ZERO playoff value though.

That's ridiculous.

This team isn't going anywhere until Matt Ellis is brought back.

He's still available..I'd rather Jim Vandermeer, though.

I'd seriously start to question whether Ken is capable of icing s competitive team if that happens.

Don't blame Holland one bit for losing out, that's out of his hands. However, now we'll see just how good a GM he really is. With Lidstrom gone and Zetterberg/Datsyuk being 30+, the next 5 years will determine if Holland truly is one of the best GM's or just some guy who happened to be in the right place at the right time.
