I agree, if you throw enough mud at a wall something is bound to stick.HockeyyInsiderr is a complete and total fraud. He has absolutely zero sources other than s*** he makes up in his own head or things that were already reported on. No one give that douchebag the time of day.
As for Semin, I think it's a must that we sign him

Yesss. I want semin with Pav so bad. I'd take him over parise
Well, you don't have a choice now do you?
I would say Detroit has a very good shot at Semin....but I haven't heard anything going on with Holland for 24 hours now....what is up I wonder? I know he has to wait until the 9th for Doan to decide...sure glad he wants to come here! Doan and Semin FTW!
BTW, if Semin signs here and stays healthy, he will outscore Parise....hell he nearly did last year...Semin had .7 PPG and Parise had .8 PPG... I would call Semin at $4M a hell of a steal compared to Parise at $7.5M...

Skeptical about Semin, but with Pavel, anything is pasha-ble (get it?)

I agree I would take him also and we have no choice but to add a defense man even if we re up Q we still need at least one guy and we have a few extra forward to dumpI'm not opposed to this, but I'd feel better if we were talking about a defenseman right now. We have forwards coming out of places where forwards have no business being in the first place.

If we have Semin for an extra 2-3 years past that, I think he reverts back to an unmotivated player. I think Pavel is the key in getting the most out of Semin, should he come to Detroit.

I see what you did there.
I don't think we have much option at this point than to get er' done with Semin. Add Doan, and trade for Yandle and we are fairly solid. I wanted Doan anyways so this would be a great scenario from my POV.

Is there a way to make it conditional that if Pavs goes back to Russia, Semin automatically has to as well? Would the NHL & IIHF approve that?I want a scoring punch just as much as the next person, but I would be leery to offer him anything over 3 years. Pav has 2 years left on his deal, and I'm curious about what he's going to do... he's mentioned wanting to go finish his career in Russia in a few interviews, so I wonder if 35 is the age he goes back home.

No real need to "lure" Yandle in given that he's under contract. What we would need to do is have Doan convince the Coyote's organization to trade Yandle for a song. And by song, I mean for Emmerton & a Karen Newman CD.ill take doan over semins right now. doan could lure in yandle

Best case scenario to me is sign Doan and Semin then trade for Yandle.

Hey bamawing, I was in your state for the first time ever last weekend, Decatur, loved it! I couldn't understand the gas station attendant too good, but I was too busy being amazed by the price of $2.80 per gallon to care!
