According to the Bruins website, it is a 1-year, two-way deal worth $600,000 at the NHL level and $130,000 at the AHL level. The defense corps in Grand Rapids continues to shrink. Hopefully Exelby can make his way back into the league. He's only 30.

Glad we let him slip away. Not like he would have been an improvement over Kindl or anything.

bummer...i liked exelby.
he would have been a solid call up, even better than commodore was. wolski just signed for 600K with washington. another good call up/ griffins player that could have been.

Yeah that sucks considering we are currently pretty weak on D, I think he could have seen some time with the Wings for sure this year. He would have stuck around awhile too, I liked him too bad but good for him and I hope he joins the big leagues again with Boston!
