A 5-year deal worth $20.875 milion. $4.175 mil/year, according to TSN. Scored 54 points in 80 games last year. Good for the Blues to keep him around. Was wondering what the deal was with him.

Fire Holland!

Seriously though, Oshie is a good player and would love to have someone like him on the Wings.

Have said many time throughout the years I'd love TJ here, not a bad deal for him at all.

Man, why can't the Wings sign someone like that? It really is starting to look like the ride is over...

Seriously people.....you guys are acting like every team in the league has fallen into a bunch of talent and the Wings are scratching together a team of peewee players. We have easily 3-5 guys who as good or better than Oshie. He's probably their best player by a significant margin.

I don't necessarily agree. Backes is their best all around player whether you like him or not. On regards to Oshie good deal for him and a very good player. Mark him off your lists people.

Behind Pietrangelo and Shattenkirk of course.

Dan Cleary is an Xbox 360.  While good for a while, it's time for the new generation to take over.

5 year extension, and they were less than a day away from an Arbitration hearing.

Good re-signing by the Blues.

"And the best, I must confess, I have saved for the last, for the ruler of this Christmas land,

is a fearsome king with a deep mighty voice, least, that's what I've come to understand.

And I've also heard it told, that he's something to behold, like a lobster, huge and red!

When he sets out to slay with his rain gear on, carting bulging sacks with his big great arms, that is so I've heard it said.

And on a dark cold night, under full moon light, he flies into a fog like a vulture in the sky!

And they call him Sandy Claws!

I don't think that, I was referencing the fact that we aren't signing ANYBODY. It is just depressing. This team signed this guy, this team avoided arbitration with this guy. Wings?... Nothing.

Except for the 4 guys we signed and re-signing Quincey you're 100% right
