Did he hit his face on Lilja's helmet during their hugfest?

Lillypads somehow went from the most scapegoated to the most overrated player here on LGW.

I know with GMR it's sort of a fun game, but there really are a lot of people that seem to remember Lilja a lot better than he was. It was such a strange transformation from the most hated players on the Wings to one of the most beloved.

Don't forget that he was 2008's "Hottest Red Wing" according to a very scientific poll of LGW ladies.

He came in just ahead of Homer, passing him with only days left before the voting deadline.

It was breathtaking.

He also did shot-blocking and stuff like that, which we liked.

Money on the board:  $40

Thanks for a great season, guys.  You exceeded expectations and have given us something to look forward to as the long summer approaches.

 

And next year we get to start in October, like hockey is SUPPOSED to.
