Things to know about Carlo...

He's very injury prone.
He's never played a full season...and with St. Louis, he has missed about 15-20 games each and every season due to injuries.
Every few games, he'll leave the game with an apparent injury and it will look like he is really, really hurt. He'll have this grimace on his face like he is in severe pain and leave you wondering, uh oh... but he usually comes back or only misses a game, or two, or three. But yeah, that kind of thing happens all of the time with him.

He will have defensive lapses more than you would like. He'll also make you pull your hair out in the offensive zone at the blue line.

He should also score more than he does given he has a decent shot.

I like Carlo, I'd like to have him back as a depth guy. But no huge loss as the Blues have some guys ready to make the step into the NHL. Any higher than #5 or #6 on the depth chart for Carlo, and you're asking too much of him.

Seeing as how you guys have lost a chunk of your defense, he'd be a decent sign for Detroit. But don't expect a whole lot from him.

All he really needs to do is push Kindl to play at the next level. Give him a little competition for that 6th spot

My main concern with CC is that he doesn't have a ton of playoff experience, having only played with Toronto and St. Louis. But he did have 3A last year in 7 games.

2 years for a $2.7m/year cap hit? We shall see: http://onthewingsblo...-a-i-a-c-o-v-o/

Supposedly he wanted a 3 year offer, the Wing's initial offer was 1: http://prohockeytalk..._medium=twitter

Money on the Board 2014: $5 per series, $5 per sweep, $5 per Kronwalling, $10 per Marchand Kronwalling, $1 per Zetterberg game, $1 per 2013 Calder Cup roster player goal

Definitely would like this signing for depth purposes. He is my favorite of the remaining free agent d-men, though to be fair, there isn't much to choose from.

Still would love to see someone more in the mold of Stuart added as well. Ericsson is really the only defensive minded player on the team now. A PK specialist/shot blocking d-man is a huge need.

I was trying to bait cprice in a more subtle way. His original post reeked of passive and unjustified condescension: The Blues could maybe use him as a depth guy, but he'd be a good signing for Detroit. Almost like he'd been waiting 20 years to say this.

Decent player, as long as you accept that he's going to miss 20 games every year.

Obviously not close to the same player as Suter, but probably would be better bang for the buck.
Lets Go:

Let's put it this way. CC is better than nothing. Not many options left without giving out too much.

Yeah maybe.

I think that unit puts up more points by committee than last year’s D though.

He and Monster would have face a lot and I mean a lot of rubber, the reason I want Colaiacovo is to push Kindl to the next level other than that, meh.

Why hasn't this guy signed yet, and isn't this no longer a rumor? Why hasn't it been moved back to general discussion?
