Hard to believe that tomorrow is the one year anniversary of that awful day. RIP to Rusty Salei, Coach Brad McCrimmon, Stefan Liv, and all others who lost their lives on September 7, 2011.

I still think about this quite a bit. I'll never forget that day as we all waited, hoped, and prayed Rusty somehow wasn't on that plane.

That was such a surreal day. RIP guys. I hope the families have found some peace.

I've been thinking a lot about the anniversary too, and hope some healing has come to the families of the team. I will also be proudly wearing my "Love for Lokomotiv" bracelet tomorrow in remembrance. I hope that if a lockout forces any of our guys or any other players to the KHL that they remain safe in their travels.

I know the Love For Lokomotiv Twitter said yesterday for everyone to keep the wives and families in your thoughts as they traveled to Russia for a memorial ceremony.
I have 2 bracelets that I will be wearing tomorrow.

I remember on that day NHL.COM's front headline was Cindy's interview about his condition and crap, tagged with a bolded "must watch"; the plane crash news was on the 2nd panel.

That's a very nice memorial. Not too flashy but still elegant.

My money on the board pledge:

$1 for each goal scored by a player after whom I have named a hamster.

An additional $5 for each hat trick scored by a player after whom I have named a hamster.

An additional $10 if any of the above goals is the GWG goal that gives us the series win.

An additional $50 if it is the GWG that wins us the Cup.

$5 for a SO by Jimmy.

Hamsters' names (current players in RED):  Henrik Pavel Tomas Nicklas Dominik

                                                                      Niklas Matthieu Daniel Robert

                                                                      Johan Andreas Valtteri Jonathan

                                                                      Andrew Patrick Ian Todd

And introducing:  Jordin Damien Gustav James

TOTAL SO FAR: $36
