He's not going to be a top pairing guy, but for additional depth, I think he'll do well.

That's right. Sad Simpsons Indian. I went there.

As the highest pick the Wings have had in years, I was hoping for even more than that from Kindl. But last season he couldn't even outplay Commie for a spot in the lineup. For some reason I can't kick this feeling that kindl could be a 4/5 dman if we gave him the chance. he has the size and skill. I watched almost every game last season and every game he played in and I think there is something there...

"Gave him the chance" being a euphemism for "traded him." Right?

I never thought we'd have that guy on the Wings. Yay.

He is not a handsome man.
This picture has to be photoshopped.... his eyes aren't like that in every other picture you see of him.

We could just go with Coco (not to be confused with Koko=Kopecky).Does he have a nickname, like Coca Cola or something? Because there's no way I'm gonna be able to spell that correctly on a regular basis.
Cocoa? Hot, steamy, rich, and probably good with marshmallows.
My money on the board pledge:
$1 for each goal scored by a player after whom I have named a hamster.
An additional $5 for each hat trick scored by a player after whom I have named a hamster.
An additional $10 if any of the above goals is the GWG goal that gives us the series win.
An additional $50 if it is the GWG that wins us the Cup.
$5 for a SO by Jimmy.
Hamsters' names (current players in RED): Henrik Pavel Tomas Nicklas Dominik
Niklas Matthieu Daniel Robert
Johan Andreas Valtteri Jonathan
Andrew Patrick Ian Todd
And introducing: Jordin Damien Gustav James
TOTAL SO FAR: $36

I'd cream my pants if Jim Vandermeer signed with Detroit. I don't see anything wrong with carrying 8 defensemen. Get Vandermeer for when someone gets hurt (Because it is basically assumed that Detroit will have injury troubles). In all seriousness now, we do need to add at least one more piece to the back-end. Why? In a word, injuries. (Something Colaiacovo knows a thing or two about.) Ideally, we bring in an elite partner for Kronwall. But that's not happening, because Holland will never trade another roster player ever again. So, Vandermeer.

Hopefully he can stay healthy. He can put up some points and plays physical on occasion. I don't know a ton about his defensive game in his own zone, though. Since it is only a 2-year contract, I don't mind this.
