Also the BoG is a stupid gongshow, if this thing would be for real Mr. I, Dolan, Thompson, Acqelini and Tannenbaum should be in there, not some of Bettman's puppets.
Whenever a deal will get done I expect 2 things:
Fix the BoG regime
FIRE the anti hockey man

The conversation went something like this.
“Let’s leave,” said Boston Bruins owner Jeremy Jacobs, turning to NHL deputy commissioner Bill Daly.
“It’s up to you,” replied Daly.

Nhl negotiations are like a drinking game;
1. you make up the rules as you go along
2. most times before you can seal a deal someone gets fed up and goes home
3. you end up regretting it, someone loses all their money, and the game gets ruined for everyone
4. and you do it all again next weekend forgetting what happened the last time you did it...

Have you tried hitting it with a hammer?
If I could hit a specific piece of software with a hammer, I would.

Sounds like another patented "Donald Fehr stall tactic" to me. He has done a great job at this for the last 5 months.@JSportsnet: Can confirm that NHLPA has indeed requested the return of Federal Mediators to the process.Needless to say,NHL has yet to agree.
Also reports that Backes has left the negotiations.

As it stands now, NHLPA is continuing with internal meetings and is planning to meet with the NHL at some point today. No time set.

According to NHLPA, the next meeting could still be without mediators, but they have requested for them to get involved.

That can't be a good sign.
The good will from the first day appears to be gone.

I don't necessarily agree, harold; this to me seems like a way to speed up the process - they know they're close.
I guess I took it more as a sign of the NHLPA feeling like the league is still not negotiating properly, but I definitely like your interpretation better.
