For what it's worth, a few people have come out with sources denying Burton's report...
Maybe it was the "Steve Burton" from General Hospital (don't worry, I "Googled" his name).
Okay, who said it?
“I think from Day 1, this has fallen into what we really thought was going to happen. I don’t know if they [owners] think they’re dealing with kids or that we’re stupid or think the fans are stupid. It’s a little mind-boggling when you see what’s coming out of their side. I want to hear a change, that they’re actually going to give us something in return for the things we’ve given them.
“I doubt that may happen tomorrow [Tuesday] but it’s a start. It’s good to see that there are new owners coming into the meeting, but the bad thing is there are still some of the tight group that has been there since Day 1. That’s a concern.”

Stupid are those, who are doing stupid things so yes, having the owners assume the players are stupid or children to feels like the king of all stupid things. They are the PRODUCT, either respect them with a fair offer or sell to somone who will.

Thank you so much perfect human being #5

No confirmation I can find of re-meeting after dinner, but Twitterverse is abuzz with the lack of negativity from either side; many are very cautiously optimistic.
John Shannon
Appears the Owners are on way back to the Hotel...and they will meet again tonight.

also told that Pens owner Ron Burkle made his presence felt in the meeting so far today. I think the players are receptive to him...
This is what a lot of people were hanging on going into this....hoping that Burkle would somehow help.....player friendly and actual award winning labour negotiator.

Over the past few weeks, Crosby, Burkle and Lemieux have privately discussed plans to bridge the gap between players and owners. The sources said all three had grown frustrated with the lack of progress.
isn't that against the rules? players and owners aren't allowed to talk to each other
