Yeah I realize that now. I thought he was playing for Ak Bars again.
I actually just watched today's game CSKA against Spartak. CSKA won 2-1 in OT. Datsyuk scored a nice one intercepting a defenseman's pass, going in one on one on the goalie (who played deep in the net and didn't challenge Pav fearing the datsyukian dekes) and sniped a wrister to give CSKA a 1-0 lead in the second. He also scored the game winner in OT on a goal mouth scramble quickly pouncing on a Radulov rebound and putting it home

It's depressing me hearing about Datsyuk playing.

He's 34 years old and doesn't have a lot of seasons left, certainly not at top level. Every game missed is a big deal at this point in his career.

He hasn't played for Ak Bars in over a decade. He played for Dynamo last lockout. (I still have my Datsyuk Dynamo jersey from back then)

I'm trying to find a CSKA sweater now. I've looked online and all I can find are Ak Bars and Dynamo ones. I'm surprised you would figure that there would be a good demand for them right now

He only has one year left on his contract after this season (if there ever is one) and a lot of people are speculating that he wants to return to Russia then. Who knows.
He may never play in a Wings jersey again.

If I could access my "crying manly tears" pic at work I would be posting it right now. And I'm not even a man! That s*** bums me out hardcore.

seven KHL games slated for ESPN3

http://espn.go.com/n...d-espn3-october

they are also going to be re airing the games on espn2. but once again, pavel datsyuk gets disrespected by the hockey media. they are not bothering to show even one of his games.

CSKA won 2-1 and Pavel scored both goals (first one was vintage Datsyuk - stealing puck from an opposing player trying to exist his own zone and then scoring).

Replays if possible, please!

Datsyuk took a nasty cross check to the back at the end of his game today. I noticed he got up slowly. Sure hope he doesn't get hurt over there

"Fierce Moscow rivals Spartak and CSKA have both fallen foul of the KHL Disciplinary Regulations after the derby on 4th October. Both sets of fans taunted each other throughout the game with chants of an obscene and provocative nature, and the League is to impose disciplinary sanctions on the two clubs."

Anyone know what was said? I saw the highlights but don't remember much chanting, and also don't speak Russian (though if someone finds it, my brother can translate).

Much less puck digging in the corners than in NHL. I kinda like it. Less hitting, which I do not mind either.

To each his own.

Having said that, this was one of the least entertaining KHL games I've seen this year. CSKA - SKA game from couple days ago was a lot of fun.

That Ovechkin goal shouldn't have counted.

I seen the 1st period then changed it because my wife said it was like watching girls hockey and we should watch the tigers instead lol. I didn't find it to bad, just alittle slow.
