Announced yesterday he will play for the new Denver Cutthroats CHL team this winter. They are an affiliate of the Avs.

They will play at the old Denver Coliseum where I used to take my kids to see the circus. Really old, small and in bad shape. Cheap seats are $15 so I might take the boys to some games.

Weird choice. I don't understand why he wouldn't at least play for the Colorado Eagles in the ECHL, a step up from the CHL.

That's cool.....

This just in.....Ryan Suter and Zach Parise are wooed by KHL team, but entire family unwilling to move to Russia...ubilical cord wont reach that far so they decide to sit it out close to family...

both are fairly equal most years, but especially this year, with so many nhl players in the ahl, the trickle down to the echl and chl will make both leagues much stronger this year. while the chl doesnt have the official agreements, most of the older players can go between the leagues without noticing much difference.

Ha, we have tickets cheaper than that to AHL games. Good seats are $26 and glass runs $40. Haha, hockey in Texas.

Seems like a strange name for a team.

Pretty sure in pro sports, such a name would be considered too inappropriate, since it implies cutting someone's throat, which I believe is illegal.

In regard to the team name, I think we are just running out of good names. Throw in the major league soccer, lacrosse and indoor football teams and the suddenly the good names are already gone. The cutthroat fish is the Colorado state fish by the way.
