I am excited for this. It's my first live game of the year and I'll get to see some guys play I didn't get to last year. Namely Nyquist, he was called up last time the Griffs were here. Also, Mrazek and Pearce were swapped out, so I'm crossing my fingers Mrazek gets the nod tonight.

They normally play back to back games when they are here, maybe fri/sun, but not this year, they are heading to the other TX teams this weekend as you mentioned.

I really like going to these games in my Wings gear and sitting close. You normally get a nod or two from the players when they can't help but look. I had Smith look at me last year and tap the glass. That's always cool.

I just really need this with the lockout. It's as close to Red Wings hockey I can get.

But man, do these teams suck! Rampage have the Barons on Sunday, they are going to get DESTROYED!

Grifs have found some stupid ways to drop games late. This is #3-4 where they've been up, only to collapse and lose in the end. Gotta continue through with a 60 minute effort boys, don't make me get Babcock over here.

Mrazek played last night and the Griffins WON 4-1. Long may it continue!

McCollum needs to be sent to the ECHL for a while. To be fair to Jordan Pearce, he did have a stretch when he was immense the season before last before he burned out. I think he has more upside than McCollum who was a waste of a first round pick.

I am going to see the Griffins this Friday for sure. I hope this kid is starting in net. We haven't had a great goalie in GR since Howard left, and even he was up in the air until his last year.

Mrazek looked pretty solid last night.

Smith played a ton of minutes, and scored in the shootout.

Nyquist played a lot too, and seemed to be all over the puck.

Tatar seemed to be really strong on the puck in the offensive zone.

Jurco seemed to do pretty well. He was the first shooter in the shootout, but got cute and ran himself out of room.
