Found this story on Bleacher Report today..don't think its been posted..good read..hard to disagree with any of them. I think the drafting of Lidstrom should be on there somewhere.

"Hard Work Beats Talent When Talent Refuses to Work Hard"

LGW after 1 loss is irrational, after a few in a row it becomes quite comical, 22 playoff appearances in a row and 4 cups in that time and still going strong. Relaxxxxx !!

Should be on the slide talking about Bowman bringing a defensive mindset to the team. Lidstrom was integral to that moving forward.

March 26, 1997.

A champion was born that day.

I would agree with GoWings1905, the brawl game should be included, as well as the Shanahan trade, and even putting more attention on the finding and signing of Gordie Howe. I would probably leave off when they moved to Detroit and changing of the team name, those aren't fun to read about.

It would be interesting to try and rank Red Wings moments from 10-1.
Lets Go:
Red Wings
Tigers
Roughriders
Lions
Spartans
Pistons

I think the Limo accident and Vladdy's injury changed this team forever....Lids and Vlad for 10 more years. Whoa

That amount of defensive eliteness was just too much for the universe to handle :(

Are you really blaming Bettman for what happened with Konstantinov and Fischer?
