rrasco 1,312 Report post Posted December 24, 2012 (edited) Since we have nothing else to talk about...how about this hit that led to Jenner's ejection and possible suspension? I think it was pretty late. The puck was across the ice already, on an international rink no less. Jump to 3:30 for the hit. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wwuPLjCU4W8 EDIT: Got video to embed, stupid https Edited December 26, 2012 by rrasco
MotorCityMadness 388 Report post Posted December 25, 2012 (edited) He'll probably be suspended for the first 2 games of the tourney is my guess EDIT: Evidently...3 Games as per this link from HFBoards: http://hfboards.hockeysfuture.com/showthread.php?t=1311447 Edited December 25, 2012 by MotorCityMadness
frankgrimes 1,836 Report post Posted December 25, 2012 Well the guy is a repeat offender, it was an exihibition game so I think the suspensions is warranted.
Seraph 240 Report post Posted December 26, 2012 Haha, "feet are on the ice." Look at where the play is. I didn't even see it the first time because I was focusing on the puck.
Jaymister 71 Report post Posted December 26, 2012 Late hit for sure, but 3 games seems like a lot to me. The reason it was three was the injury.
rrasco 1,312 Report post Posted December 26, 2012 Probably so. No harm no foul eh?
Bring Back The Bruise Bros 1,029 Report post Posted December 27, 2012 Punish the action, not the result. It was a late hit, no doubt. Penalize him for the act of hitting someone late, not the result of him getting hurt, which he didn't have control over.

While I fully agree with you, you can't forget some other facts: - exihibition game - repeat offender I am sure if this would have been the first time, he would have gotten away with a minor maybe(!) major penalty but thats about it.
