When Homer arrived I heard he called himself the 'Demolition Man' and I was quite skeptical. You're gonna have to PROVE that I thought to myself. Well here we are all these years later and boy did he ever prove it. Holmstrom's legacy will be that whenever someone plays close to his style or takes abuse out front of the net to score a goal they'll be called a "Holmstrom type player" and that is high praise indeed having your own style. Rest your body Homer, it's too bad the fans couldn't have bought you a nice La-Z-Boy as a going away present.

I think it'd be hilarious if not against fire codes if they put a big bronze Homer statue blocking one of the doors at the Gordie Howe entrance at JLA.

Homer retired.  Then O'Halloran waved it off.

...Then dropped the ceremonial puck and spent the next two minutes in the box for goaltender interference.

Enjoy, Homer.  You've earned it.

Should've had the #96 at the edge of the creases last night.

My favorite has to be the first goal he scored in the 6-0 whitewash of Colorado back in the day.

I just saw this video of the puck drop last night.  Did he hand the puck to the guy on the Dallas bench?  Its near the end.

I don't know if he handed him the puck, but he does speak to him because that was former teammate and Red Wing - Ray Whitney.

Most nights, my posts are brought to you by some sort of IPA and a heaping dose of sarcasm.
