I'm partial to Damien "We'll give you a nickname when you do something that proves you belong in the NHL" Brunner, or is that too long? Call him WGYANWYDSTPYBITN for short?
are you happy yet?
The second one.
Brew-ner in swiss german

The nickname "Nose" or "the nose" seems to have stuck for Brunner over on HFboards.
I still like "gunner" though

Nope. Want to see a goal from him that isn't simply one to avoid a shutout with ~3 seconds to go in the game. Score one that matters.are you happy yet?

How about we just use a nickname that accurately reflects fan sentiment towards him -
Damien 'Oh please work out because our star forwards are on the decline and we need someone to carry the goal scoring torch!' Brunner
... I think it has a nice ring to it.

Well, the more he plays, the better seems to be "Gunner" a good Nick for Damien

Brunt, because he carries the brunt of the offense.
And the "runt" part for not being so big a guy.
