Interesting move, maybe he can help develop a guy like Fowler or Sbisa.

He's not going on all the road trips, so it looks like a part time gig. Certainly wont hurt having him to mentor some of the young players they have.

Surprised he didn't wait until the middle of the year to decide.
j/k I do have to give him some respect. Good player and all, despite being a Duck and Devil.
Will it translate into good coaching? Who knows. Some guys do well, others not so much.
My money on the board pledge:
$1 for each goal scored by a player after whom I have named a hamster.
An additional $5 for each hat trick scored by a player after whom I have named a hamster.
An additional $10 if any of the above goals is the GWG goal that gives us the series win.
An additional $50 if it is the GWG that wins us the Cup.
$5 for a SO by Jimmy.
Hamsters' names (current players in RED): Henrik Pavel Tomas Nicklas Dominik
Niklas Matthieu Daniel Robert
Johan Andreas Valtteri Jonathan
Andrew Patrick Ian Todd
And introducing: Jordin Damien Gustav James
TOTAL SO FAR: $30

Ya that's true a lot of good players can't relate to less skilled players and have a hard time figuring out how to coach them.

Best example would be the great one superb player but just couldn't teach others how to play the game. Which I still can't understand but having a guy like Niedermayer running your D has to be a big plus. That guy was easily 2 behind the perfect human at least it will work wonders for Fowler.
