Wade Redden has been placed on waivers from the New York Rangers.. this man has 450 points in 994 games. Remember now, he was drafted 2nd overall in the first round by the Rangers back in 1995... he might be 35 but he can definitely provide the defense for Detroit.

He was the #3 defenseman on the Rangers' AHL affiliate. Pass. It would be an understatement to say that the guy is vastly past his prime. Besides, the team doesn't need more puck-movers on the back end.

However, the Blues signed him on a one year 80,000 $ contract. Not a bad move for a young team at this price.
