The guy literally destroyed the lives of countless people, then black mailed them on top of it just to bury them.
I would still call him a hero if I actually believed livestrong wasnt an idea pushed on him by publicists, or if all the money they made wasnt a front to draw attention of his malicious actions, and to surround him with any amount of doctors and professionals who started off wanting to make a difference and ended up helping him replace his blood with charlie sheens tiger blood infused wizardy.
Minus the crack, of course
