What's the deal with this guy? Season starts tomorrow and Dallas can't seem to get a deal done. I really only care because I picked him up on my fantasy team, but I'm kinda curious his situation now.

Eklund stirred the pot a bit earlier indicating the Leafs were taking a serious look at him. Though I don't see any way they'd be able to sign him without Dallas matching.
Most of the tweets/reports I've seen are pessimistic that he'll be in the lineup on Saturday.

That's right. Sad Simpsons Indian. I went there.

Well that sucks. Guess I'll start Michael Ryder instead. Only 2 bench spots available, other two are for goalies.
Odd he's reluctant to get inked. I was thinking Dallas was going to step it up a bit this year with their current lineup. Lost a few household names, but still. They got Jagr. ![]()

Forget the trade ideas, Holland should offer him a contract that Dallas could never match! ![]()

I wouldn't give up the future considerations, no need to mortgage the farm.

Exactly... So why would Dallas make this deal?
I hope this is a joke response in the same vein as the other "suggestions" in this thread..
All I have to say about Holland and our off-season:
and finally
Holland is a damn good GM. period.

You're a genius. You better call Holland right now. Remember to tell him not to mention the age thing to Nieuwendyk.
