The thing that scares me about this era of the Wings if it stays ugly is Datsyuk's status once his contract is up. If the team isn't competitive, I have a hard time thinking he won't go back to Russia. That would be a tragedy. Only thing that got me excited about hockey coming back after this ugly lockout was getting to watch a guy like Pavel Datsyuk again. Shame that the team around him is just this bad.

So.. a scrumb in the net...  franzen and cleary get roughed up... talk s*** afterwards for a fight... and franzen gets the penalty, even though cleary was crosschecked 3 or 4 times...  but beacuse they challenged for a fight apparently, they go to the box??? 

 

Unbelievable.

Same nuttieness of why you can't cross check anywhere on the ice but inf ront of the net you can break your stick over a guy and it's fine.  I will never get that one.

Well, mark it down. I really don't I've ever seen a uglier game than this. I've seen ugly games, but they were so obviously fluky. You knew it was a good team having an awful night. This is not a good team, at all.

Columbus took atleast 1 pt from Nashville tonight and possibly another depending on OT. Theres no guarantee the wings can beat them.

 

That might have been the easiest shutout of Halaks career.

Apparently they looked good against Nashville. Don't underestimate any team or you're going to lose. Bust ass, get goals then coast.

Id like a copy of the new NHL CBA...  I'd like to know when challenging a guy to a fight became a 10 minute game misconduct...  or when taking a run at a guy, and missing him completely and hitting the boards became a 10 minute misconduct...    anyone have a copy???    Im a bit confused...

No kidding. Laughable that Franzen even pretends to be tough with his history. The Blues run all over the Wings and don't have to worry about anyone actually going after Jackman there. 6-0 and they went down in humiliating fashion.

well that was an embarassing, humiliating, humbling, frustrating, angering, deflating, jaw-droppingly bad performance by the Wings

 

I feel like the game hasn't really even started b/c we still haven't shown up yet
