Big improvement over last game. Quincey is still s*** and Cleary is useless and cant go a shift without ending up on his ass. Chances just follow Brunner around. Only a matter of time until he starts converting on them. The Wings should have 5am PK practice everyday until they learn how to kill one.

It's a road win and I'll take it. Nice to see the new kids looking so good.

Datsyuk-Brunner-Bertuzzi will be a thing of beauty in the shootout.
Exactly this!

This place would have been panic city if we lost again. Not unreasonably so, either. The room for error is cut in half with this shortened season. 0-2 to start the season would not have been a good place to be.

Well, if they're practicing against our PP, they probably won't go long.
I wonder how this PK will do against Chicago?

Lashoff earned himself a couple more games even if Big E can come back early.

Very impressed with Brunner, Smith, and Lashoff early on this season. Quincy needs to go, again.

If we take 37 penalties a game I don't think it matters who's PP we are up against.

Decent game. We had some hiccups on defense but it was definitely a better effort than last game. Good on Tootoo to set the tone off the opening draw. Jared Boll is a legitimate tough guy, so there's no shame in taking a few shots in the scrap. Quincey looked lost again. Lashoff earned himself a couple extra games with his decent performance.
Some of these penalty calls have been absolute boolsheet.

My musings :
1, Wayyyy better effort up front from our forwards
2.. Our D is shockingly slow
3. Our special teams are special thats for sure..maybe short bus special..or you can have the closest parking spot to the door special
4. Cleary is a plug and Babs just forces him on us.
Good to get 2 points on the board
I'm sorry but I can't stop laughing at this one.

So when I left the game the Wings were up 2-0. Then got home just in time to see the shootout.
anyone got a recap of how they blew it?
Penalties. Lots and lots of penalties.

It was almost Datsyukian, but more Brunntacular.

Thanks for the recaps everybody.
I figured the Wings would have a lot of kinks to work out but wouldn't have thought the PK would be such a problem.

Really if you think about it our D isn't any slower but the PL era ( post Lids) it seems everyone that has played with him has forgot how to be in position. I mean they couldnt have taken tips from a better guy.
