The defense needs some more repairs. Howard bailed us out several times. One bright spot on defense was that Kent Huskins was solid tonight. He better not sit when Ericsson comes back.
Good to see Brunner get his first official NHL goal. Too little, too late though.
Lehtonen was solid for Dallas. Jagr can still play. Ryder burned us.

another thing that has frustrated a lot of us is that some teams seem to have hit the ground running, whereas we fell flat on our face, got trampled by an elephant, and then pissed on by a hobo
we just can't seem to catch a break, other than getting to play Columbus early on in the schedule
I think it's more that we just suck. Immensely. And need a trade. Or several thousand. Badly.

well big question is if and i know his going to San Jose but IF Scott Gomez showed any intrest in us do you think he would have been helpful or just another waste of space like Sammy?

Just got back from the game. Beer was half price so I enjoyed that generously.
Howard played a great game. The offense struggled to maintain any kind of pressure in the Dallas end, and the forechecking definitely needs work. Detroit didn't play like they were busy trying to call in a Pizza Hut delivery order while the game was going on like in St. Louis, but the urgency wasn't as astute as it was in Columbus.

Sammy is about 100x the player Gomez is.
