Appears that Lupul took a blast from Phanuef in front of the net, expected to miss at least 6 weeks. That sucks for a guy who seemingly been injured frequently....days after signing a $25M deal.
Is it me, or are we seeing more "freak" injuries that didn't used to happen as much? Maybe just more guys willing to take risks to make a play?

Broke my arm the same way a few years ago. Freak thing, other than that, been playing hockey for 30 years and never broke a bone.
