Team next season?

A lot of you keep saying trade fil but he can actually skate, pass, PLAY DEFENSE, and sometimes score... the two players to trade on offense would be franzisca and old man cleary on offense to bring in a power foward and sniper... i wouldnt mind sammy being traded either...

I dont care franzisca can score 30 goals a season... i will take a guy that scores 20 goals and forechecks and plays with more heart anyday. I keep reading these posts on here since 2009 about how he will start to pick it up again... When is he going to do that i have been waiting for 4 years now?

League min is 750k next year, brett. Slight adjustment on emdog needed.

He's already signed for next year. No adjustment needed. However, Howard, Flip and Perry are all pretty optimistic. Might save a bit on Brunner, Lashoff, and Smith, but not likely enough to fit that roster under the cap.

5.8 for Perry? Dream on. He will command upwards of 8.

Are you for real? 8? Thats crosby money. With the new CBA that kind of money would be ridiculous for Perry. Benn got 5.5. I see Perry getting 6-6.5 max as an overpayment. With the new contract structures in the CBA you can't front load deals like before so players have to make a more balanced salary over their contract (aka can't start at 7mill and end at 700k near retirement).

Perry won the FRICKING HART TROPHY. Thats the league's best player award, fyi. So why on earth is he gonna settle for Jamie Benn type money? Shiiiiiiiit, Benn wasnt even the TEAM'S best player, let alone NHL's. Wake up, pal. Youre thinking like Kenny Holland now!!

also consider his 60pt season last year. Fil had even more points. If Perry isn't back to Hart level this year he hasn't earned 8+.

Also take a look at Giroux, Eriksson's contracts then let me know what you think.

Its in the bag. 6 years, 51 mil wouldn't surprise me at all. This guy is a stud. 5 tool player.

Girpux and Eriksson are great players. They still do not bring what Perry brings = hitting, fighting, and meanness.

I like all the talk about Wimnepeg giving us their best young guns for Nyquist and picks. People act like Nyquist is Gretzky and we are just deciding when to unleash him.

Nyquist is on pace with 7 points in 19 games to have a Datsyuk type career. So he's pretty much a lock for the hall of fame.

Exactly!! I want to see him as much as the next guy, but right now, he's the Crash Davis of the Red Wings. Smith turned out to be Laloosh.

Ok, here is my throw in of what I'd love on a roster next season...

Bobby Ryan - Datsyuk - Corey Perry

Alex Burrows - Zetterberg - Brunner

Bertuzzi - Helm - Tootoo

Miller/Eaves - Sheahan - Abdelkader

Kronwall - Ericsson

Smith - Lashoff

Douglas Murray - Dekeyser

Adam Pardy

Howard

Monster

(of course Doug Murray is a UFA in San Jose, if somehow Holland could land that titanic human being, I would let Huskins go....but if not Huskins has done a solid job thus far, I would re-sign him to a #6/7 role)

edit: My subractions are Franzen/Filppula/Sammy/Cola/Emmerton/Kindl/Cleary/Mursak/White/Quincey via trades/UFA/RFA or buyouts...
