Hockeytown0001 7,652 Report post Posted January 29, 2013 not to nitpick, but how can our team leaders in goals and assists be tied at 2, and Datsyuk has 6 points? Fixed.

frankgrimes 1,836 Report post Posted January 29, 2013 I've rarely seen Pavel score a useless goal in a 6-0 game or something, he always puts the puck in the net when it's needed. Of course he does, he is our 13 Pavel magic hand Datsyuk :-) will be a very sad day when he heads back to Russia.

laserijk 1 Report post Posted January 29, 2013 Our team looks a hell of a lot better after the last two games - even though we lost to the Hawks - than we did going into Dallas. Should be a good game.

Euro_Twins 4,474 Report post Posted January 29, 2013 Mike Heika (Dallas Morning News, covers the Stars) says that Lehtonen will be in goal tonight. Not too upset, Lehtonen will probably be tired, he has started 5 of their 6 games, and just played last night. At least Howie will be rested up after a day off, but I expect to see Monster starting the first game he is healthy again so howie can get a break

Euro_Twins 4,474 Report post Posted January 29, 2013 Thank god no Lehtonen According to Dallas morning news he will be in, but it isn't concerning because he obviously is tired which is why he wasn't going to start to begin with. They obviously are scared of how much better we've been playing and want to start Kari, but it is never a good idea to start a tired goalie even if he "thinks he'll be ok". Look at Howie last year he had a couple bad games playing tired so that we didn't have to play conks, the end result would be the same, only Howard did not get the extra rest and we had to put conks in against Chicago

Jedi 1,865 Report post Posted January 29, 2013 Might help the Wings tonight, or it might not, but I thought this tidbit about the Stars' travels was interesting, heading into the game. From the Dallas Morning News Stars blog... Weather concerns forced the Stars to stay in Columbus Monday night following a 2-1 loss, so they flew Tuesday at 11 a.m., got to their hotel around 1 p.m. and are napping now for the game. Playing against a team that travelled here just a few hours ago, playing against a goalie who played yesterday, while we've had a day of rest since our last game... Those are a few advantages that the Wings really need to grab a hold of.
