Without Lehtonen, Wings would have this game in the bag already.

Ice hockey is incredibly frustrating to watch at sometimes due to the regular incompetence of the multiple officials. If they were that bad on basic rulings in football they'd be slaughtered. Still, lets hope Berts alright and be thankful for the goal from Z

Haha yes, but basketball is probably worse
I don't know the NHL has some really dumb rules, kick a puck in, no goal. Kick a puck in the crease and it goes off your stick, good goal. The whole purpose is to eliminate injury so why is kicking the puck in the crease ok? The NBA has some crazy rules, but I can't think of any that directly contradict the purpose for the rule in the first place.

Anybody else think the Wings wear them down here in the third? Second half of a back to back and it looks like the Wings are starting to take it to them a little bit.
As long as they stay out of the box.
And by they I mean Dallas.

Momentum is on the WIngs side now and if they don't let it go in the third it might go this way. But Letonen is really on fire atm.

[...] so why is kicking the puck in the crease ok?
Not being an NHL rule expert, I'm 100% certain that goals scored by kicking are illegitimate in all leagues around the world.
