Thank god no Lehtonen

According to Dallas morning news he will be in, but it isn't concerning because he obviously is tired which is why he wasn't going to start to begin with. They obviously are scared of how much better we've been playing and want to start Kari, but it is never a good idea to start a tired goalie even if he "thinks he'll be ok". Look at Howie last year he had a couple bad games playing tired so that we didn't have to play conks, the end result would be the same, only Howard did not get the extra rest and we had to put conks in against Chicago

Mike Heika (Dallas Morning News, covers the Stars) says that Lehtonen will be in goal tonight.

Might help the Wings tonight, or it might not, but I thought this tidbit about the Stars' travels was interesting, heading into the game.  From the Dallas Morning News Stars blog...

Weather concerns forced the Stars to stay in Columbus Monday night following a 2-1 loss, so they flew Tuesday at 11 a.m., got to their hotel around 1 p.m. and are napping now for the game.

Playing against a team that travelled here just a few hours ago, playing against a goalie who played yesterday, while we've had a day of rest since our last game... Those are a few advantages that the Wings really need to grab a hold of.

I find the lack of Star Wars references/jokes/puns disturbing.

But LGW

I would think just having to stay in Columbus another night would sap all of the life out of them.

As long as Kindl and Franzen are on this team, we lose more than we win....

Stars 5-2... (4 PP goals)

Referees Dan O'Halloran-13 & Darcy Burchell-42   Linesmen Scott Cherrey-50 & David Brisebois-96

Does this mean that O'Halloran will waive off all of Brisebois' calls?

My money on the board pledge:

$1 for each goal scored by a player after whom I have named a hamster.

An additional $5 for each hat trick scored by a player after whom I have named a hamster.

An additional $10 if any of the above goals is the GWG goal that gives us the series win.

An additional $50 if it is the GWG that wins us the Cup.

$5 for a SO by Jimmy.

Hamsters' names (current players in RED):  Henrik Pavel Tomas Nicklas Dominik

                                                                      Niklas Matthieu Daniel Robert

                                                                      Johan Andreas Valtteri Jonathan

                                                                      Andrew Patrick Ian Todd

And introducing:  Jordin Damien Gustav James

TOTAL SO FAR: $27

The Force will be strong with this team tonight. Wings 6 (minimum) stars 2. An epic goalsplosion.

That's funny because it's been the opposite with them on the team.

Wings 6 goals franzen with 5 goals and Kindl with the 6th

No way the Stars win again at The Joe. Despite the jokes and the "oh woe is us" attitude on the borad the first 5 games, I think, other than the game in St. Louis, we are playing well and this team is entertaining to watch.

4-1 Wings.

Lets Go:

Roughriders
Lions

Honestly, I would LOVE nothing more than for those two (and Q) to prove me wrong and become a force with this team. Why wouldn't I want it? Heck, we already own them, if they became stars, that is great! But I have been watching them far too long....I know better.

Well looks like I'm gonna have to bench Kari tonight, I expect the Wings to absolutely tear him a new one tonight. Vegas seems to think this one will be a tough game though, only at -165 tonight

Good news is we are most likely facing whatever backup replaced the injured Nilstrop as Lehtonen played last night unless he's getting double duty.

I want a showing like we had against Minnesota, let's win definitively boys. I predict 6-2 final Wings.

Nevermind looks like Lehtonen again..

Homer isn't here anymore, so more Wings actual goals.
