MabusIncarnate 5,344 Report post Posted January 30, 2013 Yeah i'm pretty confident he pots his 10th tonight. At this pace he may meet last seasons goal total in half the games.

haroldsnepsts 4,826 Report post Posted January 30, 2013 Seems like the Wild are already getting their money's worth out of Parise. Suter, not so much.

haroldsnepsts 4,826 Report post Posted January 30, 2013 Philly Not surprising given their defense. I haven't been following them that closely but they never really got anyone to replace the loss of Pronger or Carle did they?
Hockeytown0001 7,652 Report post Posted January 30, 2013 Not surprising given their defense. I haven't been following them that closely but they never really got anyone to replace the loss of Pronger or Carle did they? Luke Schenn was their only notable defensive acquisition, I think. kylee 727 Report post Posted January 30, 2013 The way the Sharks announcers talk you really might as well just end the season, skip the playoffs and give the sharks the Stanley cup RIGHT NOW.
Hockeytown0001 7,652 Report post Posted January 30, 2013 The way the Sharks announcers talk you really might as well just end the season, skip the playoffs and give the sharks the Stanley cup RIGHT NOW. Just like they were in 2008-09 when they raced away with the Western Conference and then got bounced by Anaheim in round 1.
Hockeytown0001 7,652 Report post Posted January 30, 2013 Ducks on top of the Sharks right now midway through the 4rd, 2-1.

Philly about did what we did in replacing their two top defensemen.

I doubt that, we have more defensive depth albeit no stars, but we definitely have better D than philly
amato 3,210 Report post Posted January 30, 2013 Seems like the Wild are already getting their money's worth out of Parise. Suter, not so much. quincey for suter, straight up. make it happen kenny!! kidding(obviously).... did anyone see the bruins/devils shootout though? seguin scored, a fan threw something across the ice and even though it didn't effect the shootout, refs made him shoot again so he scored an even nicer goal.... haha love that kid, he's good. We lost Lidstrom Stuart and replaced them with Quincey Colaiacovo, both are also a downgrade. I do agree that overall our defense is better, but neither team replaced their top D with other top D players.

I do agree that overall our defense is better, but neither team replaced their top D with other top D players. Lashoff looks very promising, while Smith is promosing but seems to have some jitters. Our problem is there is NO ONE to replace Lidstrom, and not very many quality d-men out there so we did what we could given what we had
