frankgrimes 1,836 Report post Posted February 2, 2013 I officially want a rule which allows to decline a powerplay its like we're getting a PK tough it doesn't matter, our special teams suck. This team is: Datsyuk, Zetterberg, Howard, Gustavsson + Helm when healthy others are passengers
brett 1,029 Report post Posted February 2, 2013 did the wings play last night? looks like they did

St. Michael (the Red Wing) 422 Report post Posted February 2, 2013 right but without helmer it changes numerous roles and natural positions. the bottom 6 needs to step regardless but its hard when you're asked to play a role different than what you are good at. Bottom six needs to step it up with our without Helm. Sorry I'm a die hard Helm fan but regardless if he's in the lineup or not. Yes it changes things still players gotta step up. What about our forward depth? Joke in my opinion...

djv19 63 Report post Posted February 2, 2013 I think our trainers need a raise due to the fact that they are overwhelmed constantly having to check this team for a pulse. 2 Hockeymom1960 and 55fan reacted to this

GMRwings1983 8,794 Report post Posted February 2, 2013 Keep it in mind that the Blues played and won last night, and the Wings had 3 days off. In all fairness, tomorrow is a holiday, so the players have plenty to keep them distracted.

datterberg1340 626 Report post Posted February 2, 2013 why is it so hard for us to gain momentum as the season progresses? just like last year, it's like every game is the first game of the year and we look so rusty and lethargic, like we're starting the season all over again every time- it's ridiculous 1 Hockeymom1960 reacted to this
dirtydangles 1,328 Report post Posted February 2, 2013 Brunner's passing is very underrated. He always connects with a player when he picks the puck off the boards. Too bad cleary doesn't do this... he just skates past centre and gets dumped.

GoWings1905 2,694 Report post Posted February 2, 2013 That period was ugly. The Blues won every puck battle and all the Red Wings could muster were their specialty perimeter shots. The Wings look like they have played three nights in a row besides Z.
Carman 387 Report post Posted February 2, 2013 Only 1 goal and a hit post away from bring tied with one o the best teams in hockey. I'm happy with each of our players try are doing great staying with this powerhouse blues team. I'm sure our powerplay will get it going, almost got the puck in their zone on the last PP 1 datterberg1340 reacted to this
wings_fanatic 677 Report post Posted February 2, 2013 I wonder how long Babcock is going to keep these powerplay units before he realizes that they are not working.... Kindl has been horrible on the powerplay, and Cleary has no place out there. I cannot wait until White comes back so that we can have White and Smith back there on the point. Also I would like to see Eaves take Cleary's place on the powerplay because he has some skill and a good shot. 1 datterberg1340 reacted to this
