Our defense has terrible spatial awareness. I give the goalie an 80/20 chance to save a breakaway, but it seems Jimmy can't save a breakaway to save his life. He does awesome in shoot outs, I just don't get it
That wasn't even a real breakaway. He has to stop that shot.

That's the point. Stop calling the soft garbage.
Yet...it's still a penalty. Going five over is still speeding and a ticket. I get the blight, but a penalty is a penalty, regardless of how much someone likes it.

I agree with this...obviously breakaways aren't ideal, and the Wings have given up too many. But Howard can't let in every single one the opponents get.

I get that. We all know the standard will be different though by the time the playoffs roll around. Happens every year -- even more so far in this one with the strict enforcement.
