At least Quincey didn't get schooled by Tarasenko this time.

Our 2nd pp unit is plain awful

Why wouldn't it be.  We barely have one good point man on the first unit.

At least Sammy is coming back.   :glare:

Blues strategy....keep taking penalties. Hitchcock so much smarter than Babs.

Need to score on a PP this game to have a chance. 5-3 should always be a goal. However we need to score on a 5-4.

I can't believe Kindl, Bertuzzi and Cleary are seriously all on a powerplay unit together.

That about sums up the mediocrity level we've seen.

Thanks TeeMan

we have no choice but to load up the first pp unit. hence our second unit sucks because we have such little depth that cleary gets put out there.

Honestly I don't think Emmerton has been bad the last few games

Is anyone else finding it hard to even watch hockey anymore? This parade to the penalty box for both teams just isn't fun

It's been like this at the beginning of nearly every season for years now.  I don't know why it surprises anyone, especially when you consider the short season and lack of training camp.

all this penalty calling is going to lead to some seriously inflated numbers and no doubt lead to
some inflated contracts...ala scott mitchell and the lions

I officially want a rule which allows to decline a powerplay its like we're getting a PK tough it doesn't matter, our special teams suck.

This team is: Datsyuk, Zetterberg, Howard, Gustavsson + Helm when healthy others are passengers

right but without helmer it changes numerous roles and natural positions. the bottom 6 needs to step regardless but its hard when you're asked to play a role different than what you are good at.

Bottom six needs to step it up with our without Helm. Sorry I'm a die hard Helm fan but regardless if he's in the lineup or not. Yes it changes things still players gotta step up.

What about our forward depth? Joke in my opinion...
