For all the doom and gloom emo kids, every team is going to have games like this. Every single team in the league. The idea is that when you do, someone (most of the time the goalie) bails you out. That's hockey and we've got a goalie who is doing it.

It's the same theme everytime Eddie O and Pierre call a Wings game.  "How can the team playing the Wings beat the Wings."  It's like reviewing tape with the opposing team's coaches.

Before the game people wanted Mrazek to start. Does this mean that Cleary will also score a goal tonight?

Some of that IMHO was people legitimately not wanting to burn out Jimmy, especially since the Wings seem to finally have a second top flight goalie to put in. Howard has played damn well today. If Cleary pops a goal I won't complain.

Clifford has been getting a lot of ice time because he's played so well this season.  He's someone they expected as a 4th liner last season who's played his way on the second line. 

 

But yeah, there's a lot of Clifford love from the announcers.
